I’m currently a Senior in High School in Mesa, Arizona and I’m about to graduate in May. About myself, there’s really isn’t much interesting things about me and my family except that I have two older sisters that fight a lot over their drugs, alcohol and party habits. I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I come from a low income Mexican family. My family and friends sometimes tell me I have a good sense of humor and I also tend to look serious when I joke around. I’m usually soft spoken and a bit shy. My favorite movie genres are Crime Drama(ex.: The Godfather movies) and Sports Drama(Ex. Raging Bull). My favorite actors are Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy.
I’ve never acted in my life. The one experience I have that comes the closest to acting experience is drama class back in 3rd quarter during my 8th grade year in Middle School. I have participated in some school sports. Outside of school, I’m currently an aspiring amateur boxer. Yes, I know that sports have nothing to do with acting but I just thought of bring that information up in case if it’s necessary.
Not that I’ve really planned on being an actor but is taking film or stage acting classes in college or acting school just to see or learn how it is and how the filming business works a good reason to take the classes?
Even If I totally choose to become an actor for a career, would I even have a chance at all?
(I just thought acting would be interesting to learn about their skill sets and the necessary requirements of becoming a film actor. Another reason why I just started considering this is because I thought it’ll also help me express some of my true emotions of how I really feel about myself. I’ll admit, I’ve always felt a little angry deep down inside but never express it because me and my family have been struggling a bit in our life with money for the past 3-4 years and again, I thought taking some acting class would help me let my true emotions out just like boxing did.)
