The AFL still has unnamed players for drug abuse on 2 strikes? Drug taking is illegal,while betting on football is a big industry, whats the AFL up to. Maxwell told his family he would be starting forward in the R9 game against Adelaide. A family member backed him with a $ 10 bet to kick the first goal. Maxwell is fined ? Shaw told a mate, of the inside info on Maxwell, who said i’m going to back that, do you want me to put $ 10 on for you, Shaw said if you want. Funny how the AFL have waited to make their decision until the eve of the only sellout H/A game of the season, when clubs are normally advised of player suspension no later than Tuesday. Even funnier that the chairman of the AFL commission is an ex Carlton captain ? The AFL can tolerate drug abuse but not $ 10 bets . Its Carlton’s home game, they get the gate takings. I hope all Collingwood people ask for a refund, and stay home and watch the game on tele.

Gee i just love it when Deedbudya puts on a Magpie supporters rant like this. the players new the rules. what is he trying to say here. just because they are Collingwood players the matter should have been overlooked? boy that’s arrogance at its pure best.
Exotic bets in footy have to go. now that we have seen how much trouble this new form of betting can cause. with a couple of players sharing some information between themselves & their families can cause. regardless of what footy club or length of time it takes the AFL when holding inquiries into such matters.
Both players have very little to worry about. they are both very much required players at Collingwood. im sure they wont be doing stuff like this again.
