If I surrender my nursing license in one state for a drug diversion incident can I still practice in another?
If surrendered my license in RI due to drug diversion and I am licensed in MA and FL will I have any problems with those licenses? I just want to start over. I did get treatment on my own however I did not want to join the RI treatment plan.
I had to add that I am not a drug abuser. or dependent. I am certainly not unworthy to be a nurse. I currently hole 3 state nursing licesnses and I am a very good nurse and “worthy” however I was put in a position where I felt i had no other choice (at that time) to enable another!!! He is now gone. Thank for the 2 honest and compassionate responses. The other two……..well you know what to do! I am not stuck with the task of dealing with the responibility for my actions.

If you were a “real” nurse you would already know the answer.

You are free to apply in another state, but you will probably be asked about any prior convictions etc. If you do not report it, you could be guilty of fraud, or report it anyway and the state doesn’t care and issue a license.
