How to Write a Sentencing Letter to a Judge?

Question by LAUR: How to write a sentencing letter to a Judge?
My boyfriend gets sentenced in a week and I’m trying to write a letter to the judge to consider a less sentence. He got arrested for organized retail theft, he had only stole 4 video games to help with his drug addiction. He is a very good person when he is not on it, I am also currently 16 weeks pregnant. Any kind of help or ideas would be great!

Contact the courthouse and ask for the judge’s contact information. The rest is pretty simple. Just tell him what is in your heart…don’t beg, but be sincere.

Here’s your idea: NO letter. Go to Court and ask to be heard. You there standing up for him with your belly sticking out will go a lot further with the Judge than a letter. You can ask the Judge to make him go to rehab, get an education, etc.

I hope your boyfriend knows how lucky he is to have you willing to stand beside him and fight for him. I see too many women who will cut and run over less than this. You must really love the guy and see the good in him. Sell the Judge on the idea of BOTH of you working together to shape your boyfriend up.
